Getting access
Access to PKG Deploy is done though your Github identity via OAuth.
Logging in for the first time
- Click on the
Login
button on the top right of any PKG Deploy web page. - You will be redirected to Github to start the authentication process. If you are not already logged into GitHub, you will need to do this now
- Review and authorize PKG Deploy. This will allow us access to your Github data.
- You will be redirected back to PKG Deploy - We will create an account, make you a member of any organisations you are a member of and get a list of your Github repositories for later use.
- We will greet you with a Set up page to help get you started. If you are not seeing the organisation you expect to see, please read the missing organisations section on the Organisations page.
Organisations and access
The organisations you are a member of are controlled via Github. What organisations you are a member of controls what projects, settings and package repositories you can see and have access to.
Github access scope
When authorizing use with Github we asked for the following Github OAuth scopes
user:email
repo
The repo
scope is quite broad but sadly Github does not offer a read-only scope.
Removing access
If you want to stop PKG Deploy from having access to Github on your behalf, you can revoke access on the PKG Deploy Github page
This will stop PKG Deploy from working
